Nishi Graduate Orchestra

In 2020, when the world celebrates the 250th anniversary of the birth of Ludwig van Beethoven, the Olympic Games will be held in Japan. Coinciding with this momentous year, our orchestra will also celebrate its fifth anniversary. To commemorate these auspicious anniversaries and events, we would like to perform Beethoven’s sixth Symphony, the Pastoral, recognizing anew that the beauty of the natural world and the rhythms of everyday life were an unending source of inspiration for the composer.
We believe this would be a golden opportunity for all of us— both audience and orchestra —to reflect on our day-to-day life and consider what we can do, individually and collectively, to sustain the beautiful natural environment for not only of the present generation but also of the future generations.
