Gulbenkian Orchestra

The Foundation promotes a wide range of programmes and projects that contribute to overcoming particular needs in contemporary society and seek innovative responses to problems in the current world. Sustainability across its three dimensions – economic, social and environmental – is a broad concept under which multiple thematic areas can be framed, and constitutes an unavoidable theme to an institution with an intrinsic vocation for long term issues such as the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, interweaving its statutory fields of science, education and charity and working across its various programmes and departments. Our resident orchestra – the Gulbenkian Orchestra – would be very pleased and honoured to participate in this project.
