The West Australian Symphony Orchestra is proud to stand alongside musicians from around the world to take an urgent stance on climate change while celebrating Beethoven’s enduring legacy.

No part of our vast country is immune from the effects of climate change and its impact on our environment. In recent years, Western Australia, WASO’s home state, has experienced record temperatures, devastating drought and increased coastal erosion due to extreme winds and rising sea levels.

We are deeply honoured to play Beethoven’s magnificent Pastoral Symphony on UN World Environment Day and join with musicians around the globe to harness the power of music to increase awareness and understanding of this globally important issue.
