Beethoven – Pastoral Symphony (4 hands)
“Expression of feeling more than painting of sounds”: with these words, Beethoven shows the orchestra and the listener the key of performance and reading of the VI Symphony “Pastoral”. Carl Czerny, Beethoven’s pupil, attended the first performance of the Symphony in Vienna, on 22nd December 1808, and expressed its spirit in his 4-hand piano revisitation.
