“UNTER BÄUMEN – UNDER TREES” ist ein experimentelles Musik/Film-Projekt von Ralf Peter und Krischan Kriesten. Es wurde auf Initiative des Regionalverbands Saarbrücken eigens für das Beethoven Pastoral Project entwickelt.

Der Titel ist einem Beethoven-Zitat entnommen: “wie froh bin ich, einmal in Gebüschen, Wäldern, unter Bäumen, Kräutern, Felsen wandeln zu können…” Im Zentrum steht die hervorragende Klaviertranskription der Beethoven-Pastorale durch Franz Liszt, live interpretiert von Thomas Layes am Steinway-Flügel im Festsaal des Saarbrücker Schlosses (Sound: David Windmüller).

Das Film-Material (Visuelle Gestaltung: Krischan Kriesten) entstand an besonderen Schauplätzen in der näheren Umgebung:

Der “Urwald vor den Toren der Stadt”, ein tausend Hektar großes Waldschutz-Terrain der saarländischen Landeshauptstadt Saarbrücken, ist eine bundesweit einmalige Verknüpfung von künftigem Wildnisgebiet, Wald- und Stadtlandschaft, von potenziellem Urwald und Großstadt. (www.saar-urwald.de)

Das “UNESCO-Biosphärenreservat Bliesgau” an der Grenze zu Frankreich zählt trotz relativ hoher Besiedlungsdichte zu den europaweit artenreichsten Landschafts- und Lebensräumen, mit fast der Hälfte der in Deutschland vorkommenden Orchideenarten. (www.biosphaere-bliesgau.eu)

“UNTER BÄUMEN – UNDER TREES” is an experimental music / film project by Ralf Peter and Krischan Kriesten). It was specially developed for the Beethoven Pastoral Project on the initiative of the Saarbrücken Regional Association.

The title is taken from a Beethoven quote: “How glad I am to be able to walk in the bushes, forests, under trees, herbs, rocks …” The focus is on the excellent piano transcription of the Beethoven Pastoral by Franz Liszt, live interpreted by Thomas Layes on the Steinway grand piano in the ballroom of the Saarbrücken castle (Sound: David Windmüller)

The “primeval forest at the gates of the city”, a thousand hectare forest protection area of the Saarland capital Saarbrücken, is a unique link in Germany of future wilderness area, forest and urban landscape, of potential primeval forest and city. (www.saar-urwald.de)
