In the face of climate change it is an concern for us, the Albert Konzerte, to take environmentally sustainable action and to contribute to climate protection by generally providing climate-neutral concerts in a medium-range.
In the season 2019/20, we will be hosting already 10 of our 26 concerts in a climate-neutral way as the first privately-operated classical music organizer in Germany together with our partner company Hörtnagel Konzerte Nuremberg.
In cooperation with the climate protection agency ARKTIK in Hamburg, we determine the “carbon footprint” of the concerts and try to reduce emissions in all possible areas.
The unavoidable emissions are fully compensated by the support of climate protection projects, which are certified with the high-quality gold standard.
The costs for the calculation, compensation and advice for the realization of climate-neutral concerts are initially taken over by the artists and the Albert Konzerte.
With our concert of the Filarmonica della Scala from Milan on 6 May 2020 in the Konzerthaus Freiburg, where Beethoven’s “Pastoral” Symphony will be heard, the Albert Konzerte will also take part in the Beethoven Pastoral Project.
